Organized in the European Solidarity Center in Gdańsk it is an incredibly important event for hoteliers, OTAs and marketers, where new directions for the industry are being set.   This year we felt honored that Bidroom could be one of the speakers at the conference. We could talk about our vision and the new business model. Our presentation took place at 12:30 on the novelty stage and we are happy to say it was very well received.     It was especially inspiring to be surrounded by some of the leading Polish marketing and hospitality specialists. Among many others were Monika Czaplicka, Paweł Tkaczyk and Jacek Kotarbiński, while the entire conference was led by one of the top Polish journalists, Jarosław Kuźniar.   The extremely positive atmosphere of the conference was contagious. Bidroom at ITB Berlin

Last week our team took part in ITB Berlin, currently the Leading Travel Trade Show. With participants from 5 continents, 187 countries, and over 10,000 exhibitors, it was very impressive, but, more than anything, it was inspiring. On today’s blog, we would like our pictures to tell you a story of our two days at this amazing event.   We started our journey full of hope and energy, ready to start new partnerships and educate more people about the unfairness in our industry.   ITB is a festival of traditions. During our first day there we could learn about different cultures and get inspired by them. On the picture – Vietnamese stand, exhibitors in traditional clothes and with traditional food and tea.   The visitors could meet many fascinating people. Here craftsman with his work.   Turkish calligrapher at work.   There was time to enjoy all of the attractions and time for business meetings. Scattered around the conference, apart from exhibitions, there were many places suitable for conversations. After all, we all wanted to …

Bidroom Nominated For the Zoover Award

We are very happy to announce that Bidroom has been nominated for the Zoover Award! The Zoover Awards are held annually and reward the best accommodations as well as the best online booking platforms. We have been nominated in the prestigious Best Hotel Booking Platform category among some of the biggest brands in the business. These awards are in our opinion especially important because it is you – the people – who get to choose the winners. And, while being appreciated by the market, is of course incredibly important, what truly matters in any industry, is the appreciation of the customers. It is a great honour to be up against many other big companies of this tough industry, and we hope that our devotion and fairness, as well as the fact that since the beginning we have always put both hotels and their guest at the top of our priorities, will help us win. The voting began on February 13th and ends on the 31st of March The winners in each category will be announced …

Bidroom Makes the Most of the World Travel Market 2016

The World Travel Market London, one of the biggest global events for the travel industry, took place earlier this month, between 7th and 9th of November, and Bidroom of course was a part of it. This year the three day event has been the most successful yet, with a record 51,500 participants. With over 250 speakers and 80 events across 12 travel related sectors it has been a major learning experience and an opportunity to showcase our company and the changes we’re currently implementing. We could officially introduce our new BaaS (Bidroom as a service) model. We were finally able to tell everyone in the business that we are becoming a commission-free booking platform, and instead of charging commission, we are now focusing on offering additional services to hoteliers, who can choose between a Bidroom Free and Bidroom Plus plan, with Bidroom Plus being an upgraded version of a basic model with many profitable upgrades for the hotels using it. We are happy to say that many hoteliers showed their sympathy with us and expressed …
